So this wasn't exactly a Halloween costume, but I found a blonde wig at work and tried it on her. I suppose next year she could go at a cabbage patch kid.
Just in case you were wondering, it's the bottom left tooth. Even though you can't see the little tooth very well...you can feel it! I felt this was a worthy reason to post a few pictures of our big day. I thought the day the first tooth appeared would be a day filled with lots of tears and a whinny baby...but I was wrong. She had a long night before the tooth appear but for the most part she has been a happy little girl.
She turns 6 months old in just 3 days, our little girl is growing up!
We knew it would happen sooner or later, non-toys would be more exciting than the real things. For a while now the remote has been catching her attention, it must be all those colorful buttons. Just so long as the slobber doesn't ruin it and the football game doesn't get changed, she is able to enjoy herself. Daddy is keeping a close eye on her...
Luella likes to pretend to do her medicine with mommy in the mornings. If I don't give her her own, I have to deal with 20 minutes of her trying to steal mine. She wants to be like mommy already!
Little Luella Belle loves to read just like her daddy. We've started reading stories to her in the evening just before bed, she even holds the book with daddy (which is so adorable). Right now she is making her way through the Baby Bible but she is also a fan of Little Giraffe and her Care Bear books.
I carved the pumpkins and before I even posted this picture they were rotten...and Halloween is in a week. Oh well. In honor of my pumpkin carving I pulled out her Halloween jammies and she decided to show off her 'almost' sitting skills for the camera. What a cutie! Turns out the moon on the front of her pj's glows in the dark. So it took extra long to get her to sleep that night since she practically had a night light on her tummy!
Well she still looks like her daddy, there's not doubt about that. Good thing he is a cutie too! I'm beginning to hear people say she is developing some of my features FINALLY. This is a glimps of our Sunday afternoons, on the couch watching football with daddy. Go Broncos!
Our poor baby girl caught her first cold. She sounds like a little piglet with her stuffy nose. Off to the doctor we went; it turns out she will be just fine she just needs a humidifier, Tylenol and lots of love.
We got a new toy (we ended up buying another one for work she like it so much)! At first, she would get it bouncing and once it stopped she'd have a very perplexed look in her face like "what just happened?!" I think she is starting to realize she is the one in control. Once she gets it bouncing it plays a little song for her and now when Jon and I sing the song (because it's constantly stuck in our heads) she smiles! Btw, I'm starting to think toy makers who put repetitive songs in toys...never had children!!
Okay, so I'd been slacking for a while. And I've gone back and filled in the summer months with pictures and stories about our family. So if you thought you were caught up...well, you're not. Sorry about that, I'll try to do better.
Leave her alone in a room with a television and she'll turn to watch it, roll over even! But try to get her to roll over for anything else and it isn't going to happen...
