The Festival of Trees and SANTA!!
It's Luella's first Christmas and her first visit to santa. We went to the Festival of Trees on the Grove. We looked at all the trees while we waited to Luella to wake up from her nap then we got in the santa line. Luella has become very interested in the person holding her recently. She will turn toward your face and lean back to get a good look; and a lot of times she will just stare at you for a few seconds. Well santa got the stare down! And in the end she was on the verge of tears, thankfully daddy rushed over and saved her (after we got a couple cute santa pics). Unfortunately santa's elf team doesn't give digital photos and I was far more concerned about getting her to smile than taking my own pics, so well have to scan in the professional pictures once we get them.Daddy needs lessons on smiling nice for the camera!!

Seriously Elway
We've decided to kennel our little dog while were away from the house. We probably should have started kenneling him when he was little, live and learn I guess. Generally he is only in his little plastic home for a few hours at a time, but that is plenty of time to cause a bunch of trouble.
This past week every day I came home, his red pillow looked a little different than when I left. I decided to document the destruction...

Luella's private jacuzzi
It seemed like bathing her in the sink would be easier than the bathtub, but she loves kicking so in the end I was pretty wet, as was the rest of the area surrounding the sink. She loved it, but I think we'll stick to the bathtub from now on.
Poor daddy was nervous about holding our little bare bummed Luella...I wonder why?!

Winter Boots
We're getting ready for winter! My mom found the cutest little boots for Luella and had to take us shopping and get them. And she was right, they're adorable. When you put them on her she starts kicking until they go flying off. Her boots are probably going to be her new toys.
Of course we couldn't come home without a hat and mittens to match too!

Love You Auntie Aubrey
My good friend Aubrey just adores our baby girl; we're so lucky to have so many people shower our little girl with love. Aub's will be our neighbor soon (we can't wait!!) and she will have a pool. We can't help but think about little swimming suits, baby sun glasses and mini lawn chairs. So much to look forward too! We love you Auntie.
Hey, feeding our little girl isn't as easy as you might think!

Playing with her care bear
Luella just LOVES her care bears. I'm not sure what it is about them, but you can just hold a bear in front of her and most of the time she will start laughing.
I used to love care bear too when I was a wee one; my mom even painted a care bear mural on my bedroom walls. Jon found out about my care bear fetish when we were dating and one year for Christmas he bought me all the care bears and gave me one bear each day as a count down to Christmas. So sweet. Luella thanks you daddy.
Physical Therapy Graduation!
We went to physical therapy this week and were told Luella is able to graduate! For those unaware of the issues, Luella's jaw was misaligned when she was born. The Dr's are pretty sure that the cause of her misalignment stemmed from Luella being a little big (8lbs 6oz) and her mommy being a little too small. So after 6 months of muscle therapy to loosen up a tight little jaw, it is finally straight!
Copying Daddy?
Jon's phone rang and Luella was very interested in what was happening, so I (of course) pulled out the camera. After watching daddy for a while, she looked over at me and I happened to capture this next shot. It looks an awful lot like she is mimicking her daddy. What a brilliant little girl we have!!
